I am living alone on a limited income. Do I qualify to live in one of New Hopešs properties?
Yes. New Hope’s properties are designed specifically for you. Please email doc@newhopehousing.com for information about applying to lease an efficiency apartment or telephone 713-222-0290.

Can I have overnight visitors in my apartment?
Yes. There is an overnight guest policy, including a small guest fee. The policy will be explained to you when you apply.

Will I be able to cook in my apartment?
Of course. Your fully furnished efficiency at Hamilton and Canal will include a microwave and a small refrigerator, with stoves available in the community kitchens.

Does New Hope allow pets?
Service animals are welcome.

Does New Hope operate a shelter or a drug treatment program?
No. New Hope develops and operates affordable housing for adults who live alone on limited incomes.

Does New Hope offer on-site social services?
Yes. Our Resident Services Director develops a robust life skills program and offers information and referral to area social service agencies.
