Richard and his beloved dog found themselves homeless in 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic struck. The pair navigated survival while living in the woods. To make ends meet, he often donated plasma, relying on his faith and determination to persevere each day.
In February 2023, Richard discovered New Hope Housing Dale Carnegie and was able to transform his life. With the guidance of Ms. Angela, his Community Support Specialist, Richard started a new chapter filled with hope and purpose.
He is now enrolled in a Molecular Biology program at Houston Community College and plans to continue his education at the University of Houston.
