Richard’s life once looked very different. After struggling with addiction, he lost control of his business, became estranged from his family, and found himself without a place to call home. Years passed as he moved between shelters and the streets, searching for stability.
When he finally came across New Hope Housing, Richard described himself as “elderly, disabled, and ready for a fresh start.” Today, Richard is eight years sober, reunited with his family, living on his small Social Security income, and thriving at New Hope Housing Sakowitz.
After years in crisis, Richard is living a peaceful life, one he plans to enjoy for the rest of his days.
